Jacqueline chose to do this from the place where she grew up - "The World's Best Backyard", Jenolan Caves, Australia - symbolically launching the bronze from the bowels of the earth where all of the elements from which it was forged can be found.

On the "Sacred Disease" by Hippocrates written 400 B.C., Translated by Frances Adams

And the disease called the Sacred arises from causes as the others, namely, those things which enter and quit the body, such as cold, the sun, and the winds, which are ever changing and are never at rest. And these things are divine, so that there is no necessity for making a distinction, and holding this disease to be more divine than the others, but all are divine, and all human

Prior to Hippocrates, practitioners of health named Asthma and Epilepsy as "divine or sacred, or supernatural", without explanation and beyond man's control, but Hippocrates chose to see them as any other ordinary disease, and therefore, he proposed, "curable".

Henceforth from birth, without air there is no life, and so the 'Sacred Disease' becomes 'divine'. -- Jacqueline Martin-Miller

In this century we are flying much faster than Leonardo da Vinci's flying man with bird wings. In this very strange world, we the artists, ask that our fellow friends be open minded about all possibilities in art, as each century bears a new signature. -- Jacqueline Martin Miller
